Keychains...

I can finally say that I’m done with my exams .. woohooooo A funny thing happened though .. just when everyone settled down and started working on their exam, a guy and a girl pop out from behind the podium completely NAKED (faces covered) screaming merry Christmas… They jumped off the stage ran up the aisle to the back of the hall to the doors, the professor was gob smacked his tongue got tied, he even held the door for them but no… they turn for the honorary lap and run down the other aisle and out of the emergency exit in the front… No one believed what they saw; everyone started giggling like little shy girls and just then it hit us that the runners were really naked and the entire hall erupted in laughter… Wish I had my camera with me… Anyways I’m glad I’m done; now I have to tidy up my place, pack, get ready for a party and leave next thing tomorrow morning… Oh and Happy New Years .. and a merry Christmas if you celebrate it :>

Dead Week...

It’s the week before finals, the last of week of classes and so on .. and I haven’t seen it more dead .. I mean everywhere it’s empty, I know it’s a college town but people can’t just disappear like that especially before finals .. after finals I understand but before.. why?! I guess they all turned to little geeks and started hanging out at the library… On a different occasion, I actually found some of my friends hanging out at the library lounge a couple of weeks ago and founded it a bit too weird… Four exams to study for and I’ll be done... Kuwait here I come... :>

Christmas Parade...

It’s a Sunday and I have nothing better to do, and since I’m here, why not walk across the bridge into the other part of town to check out the Christmas parade … It wasn’t that bad after all .. it’s not your fantabulous Disneyland Parade and it’s not your hala febrayer parade either, it’s something in between leaning more towards the hala febrayer one though :P Still it was fun watching all those kids waving happily and screaming their lungs out, some gymnastics here, a couple of classic cars over there, the customary vintage tractors, John Deere’s if I may say .. of course and the show of all the fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and what not .. Although I was wondering what if a house was caught on fire who’d put it out if everyone’s out here… For the finale, the best part of the parade of course was my school’s marching band, I just love the drumline, it’s amazing .. the band was followed by Santa Clause .. and out of no where this little girl besides me just starts screaming “santaaaa santaaa” and jumping like a mad midget .. it was hilarious .. thank god I caught some of her on video, though now I wish I focused on her … I then walk back to my place, and to my surprise the parade ends right in front of my building .. so I could’ve caught all the action right from my balcony! But I guess then I wouldn’t have seen the mad midget .. to my delight the marching band does it’s final routine right there and then run to their buses and back to headquarters I guess :> Video 1: the one with the midget* Video 2: the one from my balcony *notice the little girl in the last few seconds... ooh and remember to right click and save as :>

Chanel No.5...

It’s the holiday season and almost every company out there is trying to compete for part of the dough … so they advertise everywhere movies, tv, billboards, magazines and so on ... that’s not what I'm going to talk about anyways... One of the commercials that really caught my attention was the Chanel No.5 advertisement played in the movies and television .. a beautiful commercial by Baz Luhrmann the director of Moulin Rouge one of my favorite movies .. I wish people in Kuwait would learn and stop trashing the tv with those cheesy commercials... So Nicole was paid a couple of millions but I think the greatest gainer was Rodrigo Santoro (the hot guy on the ad), he’s been officially launched to the rest of the world and ladies can I just say he’s H.O.T hot ... a blend of Olivier Martinez and Orlando Bloom... Wish I’ll see more of him in upcoming movies... Here's a link to the ad just right click and save target as... Enjoy :>
