Stem Cells in Kuwait..

I was going to write a post complaining about the rain and how much I hate it and all when I remembered the stem cells technology brochure I was given a couple of months earlier.. So if you know anyone about to give birth or just got pregnant may I recommend "Smart Cells" Smart Cells basically is a company based in the UK that specialises in cryogenically storing a newborn's umbilical cord stem cells. Why would you want to do such a thing? Because "stem cells are the body's master cells, they miraculously know how to specialise into any of the different types of cells that make up the human body, cells which form our organs, muscles, skin, bone, nerves, and blood system" So basically (يا سمح الله) in the future if something happened to your kid or his/her siblings (can be used for brothers and sisters too), the kids stem cells are there to help out.. I'm in no way a specialist in this matter just thought of sharing it with you. If you need more information you can call Smart Cells - Kuwait: 2455361/2 talk to Noor or Raba'a or visit their website: Smart Cells

excuses, excuses and more excuses..

today i saw a postsecret that reminded me of an incident from my first year in college

i missed a very important presentation that downgraded my final letter grade from a B to a C when i first realized that i missed my presentation i called my friend for advice on what to do, she told me to go to the university clinic and pretend to have a really bad cramp, they'll write me a report and send me off home for some rest .. and the next day i can give my instructor the medical report and she'll let me redo your presentation .. i immediately refused because (1) what if i laughed during the examination, (2) i can't act and (3) what if i get caught lying? i decided to take the hard route and face the consequences .. i went clean and told my instructor the real reason of me missing my presentation she wasn't helpful at all and wouldn't let me redo the presentation .. it was understandable .. i was tardy .. my bad .. won't do it again .. move on already.. at that moment i realized that being sincere and honest wouldn't do me any good not in these kinds of situations at least.. the lesson was to learn how to fake excuses and make up stories .. i'm still no good at them but i'm getting there .. because for my final presentation for that class, something finally worked my way .. i made up a long story just so i can postpone my presentation and enjoy a couple more days in rainy london for thanksgiving vacation..

95.8 capital fm..

if you were a fan of the radio station on my blog i'm sorry i had to take it off .. i didn't know it had any fans .. i still won't change my decision, but you can always access the radio through the direct link click here and if doesn't work you can go to capital's website and check it out from there

the day it went down..

i know it scared a few, shocked a couple and annoyed you all .. but i still insisted on giving it a chance and thought that it might grow on you (apparently a fat chance) well after a year of ignoring the complaints i decided to let go of it.. i'm taking it down.. i'm giving up on the radio

Shoes like these should never be worn ib public, actually shoes like these shouldn't be designed in the first place let alone be sold in stores..
If you know someone with the same or similar pair, please do humanity a favor and torch them (the shoe not the person) and bury them deep where the sun doesn't shine.
Thank you.

Kiddie Phones..

The debate over when kids could start carrying mobile phones, whether it was a necessity for emergencies ONLY or just a fashion/status statement, will never end. Fortunately, LG came up with a 'kiddie phone' to run on Verizon's network. It only has 7 buttons, 4 of which are to be programmed by the parent for his/her contact numbers, and an emergency button to contact 911.

I think it's a great idea that will literally only be used for emergencies. Although Verizon runs on a different kind of network, I sure do hope that the idea can be adopted by a network in Kuwait. It would solve the problem of parents that don't want to give their kids phones because they think it's not necessary but at the same time would like to check on them whenever.

It's also useful to give to drivers without worrying about high phone bills since he can only call the numbers you have preset.

the 2nd FAQ of '7ajjiya khazna' is now posted at kambal bo nemer ==== i found 2 vintage camera's in my parents room (mom was about to throw them away) surprisingly one of them had a film in it, stupidly i popped the the back open, hopefully i only over exposed a couple of frames dying to know what's on the film; i'll have it developed asap (بلاغة الشف شلون قايله) anyways they're both Canon's one is a '71 AT-1 and the other is a '77 FTb (i googled them) they look like they're in good shape, will try them sometime later...

to cook or not to cook..

why is everyone nagging me to learn how to cook! it's not like i don't know how to cook .. i know for a fact that i can prepare a 3 course simple meal from scratch (i have witnesses) and i do know all the basics which include frying, grilling, baking, and most importantly microwaving .. it's just that i don't need to cook! why would i bother to cook when i'm living at home with my parents and have a cook?! so you can cook when you're abroad... my reply: i don't cook when i'm abroad because i don't have the time nor the luxury of buying fresh ingredients, plus i hate doing the dishes .. i hate doing the dishes so much i've resorted to using paper/plastic plates and cutlery, and my diet abroad consists mostly of sandwiches and take out
so you can cook when you get married... my reply:وليش ريلي مايطبخ؟
